Michael Moffitt is the Philip H. Knight Chair in Law and Professor at the University of Oregon School of Law. He previously served as Dean of the law school at Oregon and as the Roger D. Fisher Visiting Professor in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at Harvard Law School. As a mediator, negotiator, and consultant, Professor Moffitt has worked professionally in more than twenty countries on high-stakes mediations and negotiations, with clients ranging from senior judges to tribal leaders, from unionized prisons guards to accountants, from railroad officials to diplomatic academy trainees. He has served as an expert witness on Negotiation matters in federal litigation, and he has published more than two dozen scholarly articles and books on dispute resolution. A graduate of Marietta College (Ohio) and Harvard Law School, he is the happily exhausted parent of two teenage daughters.
